Overview
Event Minimum Spend Guidelines
Half Moon is first and foremost a restaurant, not an event venue. Because of this, we structure all private event and buyout requests around a food and beverage minimum spend rather than a flat rental fee.
This minimum ensures that our restaurant can continue to meet the same revenue expectations we would have if open to the public. The minimum spend varies depending on the day of the week and the time of year, reflecting the ebb and flow of our regular service.
Guest Count & Space Guidelines
Any event with over 40 guests requires a full restaurant buyout due to the limitations of our space. Semi-private parties may accommodate up to 25 guests in our smaller dining room and up to 40 guests in our larger dining room. Cocktail-style celebrations can accommodate additional guests.
If your event includes displays, photo areas, or additional setup needs, a larger space may be required and will be discussed to best secure your date.
When inquiring about hosting an event with us, please provide as many details as possible so we can determine whether we can bring your vision to life within our space and operational limitations.
Buyout events may include entertainment, passed appetizers, buffets, family-style service, or seated dinners. All semi-private parties must begin during off-peak times to ensure the best possible experience for both your guests and our regular dining service, and are buffet.
Seasonal Schedule
Our calendar is divided into two operational periods:
Peak Season (June 22 – September 30) rates are higher and may vary depending on demand, holidays, and special events. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis during Peak Season.
